A three-week residency at Hostačov for people working on AI, technology, governance, philosophy of technology, and adjacent questions. Held lightly, with room for serious work, good company, and shared life.
The premise is simple: deep work and deep connection, side by side.
A residential block long enough to actually think.
The register sits somewhere across AI safety, existential risk, philosophy of technology, governance, and humane responses to the current moment. The cohort will likely lean toward people already in or around AI safety and x-risk conversations, with adjacent interlocutors from philosophy, contemplative practice, policy, and related fields.
The intention is to create conditions for sustained work, unhurried conversation, and enough shared life for something more coherent to form than usually happens at a conference.
The residency comes in two halves, with a private company retreat at Hostačov from July 10–12 in between.
During those three days, residents will either stay nearby or join a planned excursion. The Human-Aligned AI Summer School in Prague is provisionally scheduled for July 13–17, which creates a natural flow between Hostačov and Prague in the second half.
