Easter at Hostačov · April 2–6, 2026 Part of Spring Season at Hostačov
This Easter weekend at Hostačov is a residential gathering for people who want to slow down inside that moment and think together. Through dialogue, walks, games, and shared evenings, we practice philosophy as it was originally meant to be — a way of orienting a life, together.

“Shedding” → “Threshold” → “Emergence”
Each day begins with a morning gathering, continues with optional sessions in the afternoon, and includes a small group for philosophical discussions (about 8 people). Evenings are devoted to bonfires, games, music, and conversation.
Along with the sessions, there is plenty of free time — walks, coffee, and spontaneous conversations, which often become the most memorable part of the weekend.

Each participant receives a simple fabric phone pouch. We introduce a brief pause — a small, noticeable barrier that interrupts the automatic scrolling of the feed and marks the entrance into a different space.

Between the main sessions, the structure of the event becomes more flexible.
Participants are warmly invited to propose a short talk, a reading, a question for the Symposium, a workshop, a game, an experiment — whatever feels alive.

An anonymous mailbox will be available throughout the weekend.
At any time, you can write a short note — your thoughts, a compliment, words of gratitude — and address it to anyone present. You don’t need to include your name. All you need is the courage to say what might otherwise remain unsaid.

Not everything is expressed through dialogue.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll encounter gestures, small rituals, light physical exercises, playful experiments, and symbolic actions that subtly shift your perception. Nothing will be forced. Only structures that invite you to be present in various forms.

You don't need a philosophy degree or any particular background. People at Agora events tend to come from all over the map — researchers, founders, educators, artists, therapists, engineers, people in career transitions, people between things.
What they share is something harder to name: a pull toward conversations that go deeper than usual. A sense that something is shifting — personally, professionally, in the world — and a desire to think it through with others.
If you've ever left a dinner party wishing the good conversation had started two hours earlier — or found yourself explaining an idea to someone and realised you understood it better by the end — you'll probably feel at home here.

Participants arrive from the late afternoon. After settling in, we gather for dinner and informal introductions.
In the evening there is a short opening session to mark the beginning of the weekend — something light and playful that sets the tone for the days ahead: thoughtful conversations, curiosity, and a sense of shared exploration.
The evening continues by the campfire.

Recommendation: Arriving on Thursday evening is strongly encouraged. It allows you to be present for the opening and begin Friday already connected with the group. Arriving Friday is possible, but Thursday is where the community begins to form.
